The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, ranked second in the world by trading volume, registered with the National Bank of Georgia as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) on November 5, 2024.
This registration strengthens Bybit's regulatory presence after obtaining licenses in the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, allowing the exchange to operate in accordance with Georgian cryptocurrency legislation.
Bybit co-founder Ben Zhou noted that the registration underscores the company's commitment to providing a safe platform for users in Georgia and supports the development of blockchain innovations in the region.
