Analyst ZachXBT reported that the crypto-casino Metawin was hacked for over $4 million on the Ethereum and Solana platforms. He tracked more than 115 addresses associated with the attacker, who transferred funds to KuCoin and HitBTC.
In October, there were 20 attacks on crypto platforms, with total losses of approximately $88.47 million. The largest attack occurred on October 17, when Radiant Capital lost $53 million due to vulnerabilities in smart contracts. Hackers also stole $20 million from a government wallet, but most of the funds were returned.
As of November 2024, losses from hacker attacks have exceeded $1.4 billion. In the third quarter, hackers stole $750 million through 155 incidents, with average losses of $5.93 million. The main attack methods remain phishing and the compromise of private keys, highlighting the need for improved security in decentralized finance.
