Huawei has developed the Harmony OS operating system after being banned from collaborating with Google, abandoning compatibility with Android. The system integrates the digital yuan (CBDC), allowing applications to make payments directly, bypassing a separate app.
Developers can adapt the system to support the digital yuan, and measures are in place to interact with other financial applications and enhance security. The use of CBDC in China raises concerns about surveillance; however, its integration into chips and Internet of Things devices is planned.
