On October 16, Google announced the allocation of $15 million to two nonprofit organizations: Partnership for Public Service and InnovateUS. These funds are part of the $75 million AI Opportunity Fund from Google.org, aimed at developing AI skills in the United States.

Partnership for Public Service will receive $10 million to launch the AI Development Center in the federal sector in 2025. The center will offer a program for civil servants to assess AI applications and enhance their knowledge in this field, as well as an internship program for students focused on responsible AI implementation in government structures.

The remaining $5 million will go to InnovateUS, which will use the funds to double its reach from 50,000 to 100,000 public sector workers, teaching them AI basics across more than 30 states.
