India and China have reached an agreement on patrols along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh, marking an important step toward reducing tensions that arose following the 2020 standoff.
This agreement was confirmed by Vikram Misri, India's Foreign Minister, who noted that prolonged negotiations at the military level and consultation mechanisms have led to a consensus on new patrol measures. These steps aim at gradual disarmament and normalization along the border.
