Fraudsters are using artificial intelligence to deceive XRP holders. A video featuring an AI-generated version of Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen is circulating on YouTube, falsely announcing an XRP token return instead of burning them. The video claims that XRP holders can double their assets by visiting the specified website.
The video is posted on a private page, and links to it are being sent via email. Victims transfer their funds to a fraudulent account and lose them forever. Similar schemes were previously used with AI videos of Elon Musk, confirming a shift in tactics by fraudsters, who are now targeting well-known figures in the crypto industry.
Cryptocurrency holders should be cautious and not transfer funds to unknown addresses.
