The Constitutional Court of Montenegro suspended the extradition of the former head of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, on October 18, local media reported. A day earlier, the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro announced that the decision on extradition had been made and would be revealed on October 20.
The issue of extradition, including the choice of country, was referred to the Ministry by the Supreme Court in September. The United States and South Korea are seeking Kwon's extradition; however, the Constitutional Court has suspended the process until his appeal is considered. The Ministry of Justice noted that it had not been informed of the suspension and urged the court to act swiftly.
