Litecoin (LTC) continues to strengthen its position in the field of crypto payments, surpassing such major digital assets as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
According to the latest data from BitPay, Litecoin has become the leader in the number of transactions among cryptocurrencies, holding a 37% share of all payments made using crypto assets.
The main reasons for Litecoin's popularity are its ability to provide fast transactions at significantly lower fees. This makes it a preferred option for both private users and companies looking for cheaper ways to conduct online payments.
By comparison, Bitcoin accounts for only 25.8% of total transactions, while Ethereum accounts for only 10.23%.
As of the time of publication, Litecoin's price has risen by 2.6% in the last 24 hours to reach $64.98. Although the growth is minor, the increased use of Litecoin for payments may affect its value in the future.
