Ripple, the American blockchain firm, recently transferred 200 million XRP (~$117.6 million) to an unknown wallet, stirring speculation amid SEC appeal concerns. Whale Alert, a prominent transaction tracker, flagged the transfer, linking it to a wallet that previously received significant XRP from Ripple, including a 150 million XRP transfer on September 13.
This movement coincides with the SEC’s impending decision to appeal a ruling that saw Ripple fined $125 million for securities violations. Meanwhile, a separate whale moved 17 million XRP (~$10.1 million) to Bitstamp, raising suspicions due to regular transfers linked to the exchange. Following these events, XRP’s price dipped by 1.02%, now trading at $0.5849.
The SEC has until October 7 to file its appeal, which could influence XRP’s future price movement.
